How to play

The idea

Every day, one seven-letter word is hidden. You get its seven letters, shuffled, and two minutes to find as many words as you can make from them. The hidden word itself is the biggest prize, but it is not the only one — a good puzzle holds fifty or more valid answers.

The rules

• Words are between three and seven letters long.
• Every letter you use has to be one of the seven on screen, and you cannot use a letter more often than it appears there.
• There is no submit button. Type, and a word counts the moment it is complete and valid.
• A word you have already found does not count twice, and a word that is not in the dictionary does nothing at all — neither costs you anything.
• The clock is the only thing that ends the round.

Streaks

Finishing the daily puzzle on a given UTC day extends your streak. Miss a day and it goes back to zero. Streaks need an Account, because they have to be remembered somewhere; nothing else about the daily puzzle does.

The leaderboard

Each day's leaderboard covers that day and that language only. It resets when the puzzle does. Playing anonymously is fine — you simply appear without a name until you pick one.

Endless Mode

Endless Mode drops the daily limit: puzzle after puzzle, with levels that get harder as you go. It unlocks by finding every six- and seven-letter word in a daily puzzle while scoring at least half the points available, and it needs an Account.
